Search and Transfer

Before using the Uzin Utz BIM Plugin for the first time in Archicad 22, the following basic settings need to be adjusted:

a) Activation of ArchiCAD Classification 22, in Walls / Default Wall.

b) Activation of ArchiCAD Classification 22, in Ceilling / Default Ceilling.

c) In order to correctly display the transferred components in the 2D window, the option No overrides must also be selected in the menu Document / Graphic Overrides.

d) Now you can access the search function in the plugin via the button Search on the Pallete.

e) Select the brand you want to work with by clicking on the logos on the bottom of the page.

f) Answer all questions step-by-step by clicking the appropriate icons.

g) Once you are done, the search result is displayed as an overview.

h) Additional parameters of a component can be seen by clicking on the Info button next to the component name.

i) Transfer a component to your computer by clicking on the Download button in the respective component.

j) The confirmation message informs you about the successful download.

k) To import the component into Archicad, click on the Import button on Uzin Utz BIM Plugin Palette.

l) After a successful import the corresponding confirmation message appears.

m) Confirm it by clicking on OK.

n) The imported component is visible in the ArchiCAD 2D window.

o) In the Component selection settings the imported parameters are displayed.

p) In the main menu, click on Options / Element Attributes / Composites to see the layers of the imported component, including the used Uzin Utz products.

q) The 3D representation of the imported component in Archicad.
